Illustration Generals & Double Trouble Updates
Hello my dear readers! It's been some time since I last posted here.
In the last year I continued to developed my drawing skills, and to my taste the improvements have been significant. I still don't feel confident in my work, and estimate it to be fairly below industry standards (thinking about comics). It doesn't faze me. I understand it as a natural part of the process and a part of what makes it beautiful and valuable. That said, such changes are partially what took my motivation away from the Double Trouble series, and this is the explanation of the why it is still unfinished. Double Trouble fans (if they exist) can expect the series to be finished, of course, but I don't know when it's going to happen. As of today I have a cover, seven pages and the full script (most of it dated and out of sync with my current self), but very little motivation to see it through. I refuse to discard it and start a new story, however. My intent is that you will see the end of this trouble (pun very much intended), even if it takes a very long time.
On other news, I have a world of changes about to take place in my personal life, but hope it not to affect my efforts regarding writing and drawing. I am a firm believer in the notion that people always find a way to do what they really want to, and in the notion that great things take their time. The day in which my work is at a respectable level (again, thinking of comic book industry standards, more specifically manga) may be years or decades away, but I very much intend to see it.
For those curious about my recent progress, know that I post art at a certain frequency on Twitter (@kevatecs; handle may change later on) and would likely entertain someone interest in making conversation over there. Finally, I'll leave you with a sneak peek of the chapter to come.
Thank you for your time!! Always remember that very few things in the world are more valuable than your attention. Spend it wisely.
